Winery Wedding - Invitation Wording

Your wedding will take place in a vineyard, which can be unique and memorable. Why not start things off the right way with invitations that reflect your theme and location? While traditional wedding invitation wording will definitely work, you can showcase your love and knowledge of wine to your guests via your invites.

A few things to consider:

  • Let your invitations reflect the uniqueness of your wedding, as this isn't the typical ceremony. Use all of your creativity in coming up with appropriate wording.
  • Because this ceremony doesn't take place in a house of worship, you may omit the more formal phrase "requests the honour of your company."
  • You may still include formal invitation details such as the spelling out of numbers and the time in lieu of Arabic numerals.
  • Consider adding a wedding event card with your invitation to show your guests the other events which will be happening before and after your wedding.

Here are some specific examples for formal and casual occasions.

To make these options fit your needs, just change the names, dates and location information. For additional help on creating your wedding invitation wording, be sure to look for the "Make It Yours" information blocks for additional tips.

Make It Yours
  • If your wedding has a theme, note that on the invitation. You can do this directly in a separate note, as well as crafting your words to reflect your theme.
  • Be as creative as possible when you have a destination wedding. You want your invitations to reflect your unique locale.
  • Even the most casual invitations need to include all pertinent information, such as time, date and location.
